I'm a Ph.D. candidate in Social Psychology at Western University, studying attitudes and social stigma. My research focuses on subtle prejudice and discrimination toward LGBTQ individuals; in particular, my master's thesis examined perceptions of microaggressions, and my dissertation investigates modern homonegativity and its role in attitude formation.
As I near the completion of my Ph.D. in summer 2019, I am focusing on opportunities to use my research skills and scientific literacy in applied settings. I currently work part-time with Western's Centre for School Mental Health; I'm also an independent contractor with Carswell Partners, an HR and talent management consulting firm in London, Ontario. I also enjoy university teaching, and have taught psychology courses at Western University and St. Jerome's University.
I conduct workshops and professional development seminars for organizations that want to learn more about LGBTQ+ identities, prejudice, discrimination, and various other social psychological topics. If you're interested in learning more, please contact me via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
